Beautiful and spacious rooms and a wonderful area with many nice restaurants nearby. Breakfast served in the room. Small reception. In general it was a very pleasant stay.
How many lies can you tell? When I booked, I was told I could check in after 1.30. When I arrived at 2.30, I was told that actually it was after 2 (which it already was). I was told I had to wait until 3.30. When I asked why, I was told it was because a Guest was ill and they had let them keep the room longer. When I asked if there was another room, I was told the hotel was fully booked. Strange then, that I could book three rooms for the same night on the major booking platforms when I checked. Finally pieced together the truth No sick Guest Not fully booked Just 6 checkouts and only 1 chambermaid. The manager was less than apologetic. He maintained that check ın was some time after 2....not at 2. Offered free breakfast in the end but even that was hardly gracious. Best avoided....Who knows what lies they will tell you?
Our main concern was safety and the hotel’s staff disregard for it. The front desk is not staffed 24 hours. We knew this. They assured us we could contact someone if necessary; that a phone number would be posted on the front door. One night, our key cards would not unlock our room. No phone number was posted. We frantically searched the front desk area and found two numbers to call. Neither answered. Other guests overheard the commotion and offered to help. One had a different number to contact. No response. Another took our key cards to ensure they didn’t work; they didn’t. We were very upset. There was a call button in the elevator. An elevator repair person answered it. He could only help if we were stuck in the elevator; he had no access to the rooms. We insisted he had to do something. He had two numbers he could call for us. No answer. He then suggested we search the front desk area for a Master Key card. After desperately searching we found it and got into our room. However, it was clear that ANY determined person could have found the Master key putting guests at risk. The whole ordeal took about an hour. We decided to leave a day early. The front desk clerk contacted the manager who refused to give us a refund. We asked to talk directly with the manager and he refused to directly talk with us and would only communicate through the front desk attendant. We left. If safety is a concern for you, avoid this hotel.
