Spirit & SPA Birkenhof am Elfenhain

This is a fabulous hotel on a hill near Grafenwiesen. They have too many special places to name. Pools, saunas, cozy places, food in abundance and a wonderful Spa! I can't recommend it highly enough.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel and Spa. Staff is friendly and the Angled buildings of the house constantly surprised us with nice out and indoor relax areas, pools, saunas and many Statues of fairies and all kinds of mystical decorations. Overall be enjoyed it very much and would gladly return any time. For those who are particularly interested, here are a few small aspects that we think could be improved to make the stay even more enjoyable: - more extensive signage in the corridors would have made it easier for us to find our way around with all the stairs, corridors and rooms. A few more toilets wouldn't do the house any harm either. - We would suggest to use less printing, especially in terms of the environment and closeness to nature, every bill, every application and generally everything that was possible was printed out for us, even after our request not to waste so much paper. We have never experienced this level of waste and it would certainly be possible to reduce it somewhat - Asking for tips is all well and good, but doing so on every occasion such as a treatment, at reception or in the restaurant was a bit too much for us - the cleaning ladies are friendly, but we would have preferred not to hear their conversations in the hallway most of the day Even with these hopefully constructive feedback we would like to thank the staff and Ms Gmach inspiring attitude for the wonderful time.

It is a very nice hotel with a lovely staff, but.. 300 EUR/1 night/2 persons is ridiculously expensive: average (but clean) room, lunch and dinner is nice but not special (for the price), not so nice area at saunas. Great breakfast, great restrooms, lovely cats:)
