Hotel Rappen Rothenburg ob der Tauber

This hotel is interesting, as it's split into three different buildings. We ended up in Topperhaus, which is not far from the main building. The room has a slot to put your key card in, and that turns on the master power. I've never seen that before, very interesting & smart to save power when guests are away! The rooms are a bit antiquated, but they were well kept, so nothing to complain about there. The staff are very friendly and helpful when asking about nearby amenities like post boxes. The hotel's breakfast is fantastic too. Overall a great place to stay if you need a hotel right next to medieval Rothenburg.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The breakfast was absolutely bombastic – a rich variety of fresh, delicious options that made every morning a treat. The location is perfect, close to everything you might need, whether you're exploring the city or just enjoying a relaxing walk. Excellent hotel, with a rich history from the 1700’s. The staff are very friendly, and the room was very clean and tidy. The restaurant offer decent variety of food, but their salmon dish was delicious! The breakfast area was massive, with a large variety of freshly prepared warm and cold dishes. The highlight was fresh strawberries - We loved them! The hotel is also dog friendly, and behind the hotel you will find a huge free parking area which can accommodate around 100 cars. The walk to the centre of Rothenburg is only 10 mins. We enjoyed our stay, and recommend this hotel.
