What a lovely stay. We spend my birthday weekend at the Arabella Spitzing See hotel and what can I say – it could not have been better. We made the right choice. From arrival to departure, we just had a fabulous time. We stayed in an absolutely gorgeous room with an amazing lakeview. Dinner was lovely with an exceptionally hearty genuine service. The Breakfast buffet served everything you might wish for to start your day properly, smoothies, egg specialties, healthy options, and traditional foods. On my birthday itself the hotel team decorated a birthday-table including a birthday cake for me. How cute is that. Even though it was raining the whole weekend, it did not do any harm to our stay – in the contrary it maid it even cozier. After a little run around the lake, we relaxed at the Spa. Saunas, steam room, hot indoor pool, relaxation area, lovely arranged and well looked after. In the afternoon they serve freshly baked cake at the bar. And in the evenings the bar is nicely crowded with hotel guest. The guest mix is lovely itself – young people, elderly, couples, families, and groups of friends – everybody pleasant and decent. Every single team member was welcoming and caring. A big chapeau to the Management. We certainly are coming back.

Beautiful hotel, excellent location, good service, absolute tranquillity. We loved our stay there, got upgraded to the lake view room in the main hotel. The rooms are upgraded and nice. Yes the bath is small but ok and we loved the floor heated tiles. The restaurant food and service was good. The spa is outstanding, nice big and warm pool with a huge seating area inside and outside. I loved the infrared / hot seats. Several Saunas and Dampfbad and extra seating area. Direct access to the lake and the hotel has its own seating area directly at the lake. Management was present and would be interested in views and improvement potential. Little improvements to make: Although breakfast variety was excellent, service wasn’t good, the coffee machines are not enough for the people and the people who walk out walk the same way as the people looking for the food. Should be optimized. It would be perfect if you can order some drinks or food at the spa area or the lake, maybe from the close by Alm. While booking we thought we have booked the lake view room, it wasn’t said that the room is in the side buildings. That should be more clear. Again fantastic hotel, we will be back soon.

The room was cold and they told us they had someone come fix it by “turning the heater from 2 to 5 power”, but I had already put it on 5 before hands so they straight up lied. The room is also really unacceptable for the price. The staff is insanely slow. Whatever request we had took them forever and 50% of our time there was pretty much spent waiting near the reception for them to do something for us (simple tasks like giving us a second card for the room). Besides all that, they put us (2 people) in a single one person room at the start and we had to wait for that as well. Anyway. Enough negative talk - there are also good things about it obviously: the spa section was decent, not very rich but enough for most people. The location is amazing. Nature around the hotel is breath taking and the lake is very beautiful. In general I would recommend it, assuming I was just very unlucky. But there are definitely things they could improve on.
