Alianthos Estate Resort ex Alianthos Garden

We had such a lovely stay here. The location and town are great. The room was lovely and the staff so friendly. Breakfast and dinner were excellent with a really lovely choice of food that changed daily. Highly recommended

We had a lovely stay in the Alianthos end April/early May. They had just opened for the season the day before we arrived. I was initially disappointed with our room which looked out on a busy road and the car park rather than a garden but this is because we booked with Olympic holidays who didn't have rooms booked in the main building. My son stayed the same week and had booked direct with the hotel and was given a beautiful room with a larger balcony and lovely view in the main building. I would definitely book direct if we go back. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and helped us plan our days out. I have dietary requirements gluten, dairy and soya free. The chef got into his stride during the week and cooked me separately some really delicious meals including red mullet, sword fish and lamb. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone with dietary requirements/allergies. The helpful restaurant manager checked the dinner menu every morning to let me choose what I'd like to eat that evening and it was cooked specifically with adaptations to suit my dietary needs. Truly outstanding service. I also had my breakfast cooked separately. We arrived in the middle of the night and they provided a welcome snack of gluten free bread rolls with ham, lettuce and tomato which was very much appreciated. My husband , son, daughter and their partners enjoyed a wide selection of dishes including traditional Cretan cuisine from the buffet. There was a wide and reasonable selection of wines on the drinks menu. We enjoyed playing pool in the evening and games too from a wide selection of card games. Our rooms were cleaned to a very high standard. There was plenty of parking. The pool was quite chilly but my son and his girlfriend enjoyed a refreshing swim. All in all a wonderful week. On leaving we were given a special parting gift to remind us of our holiday. I'll keep that as a surprise in case you go. We'll definitely be back maybe sooner than expected.

Gorgeous location not far from the beach. Very welcoming and inviting. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is amazing, the rooms are very comfortable. 100% recommend
