A Hidden Gem We’ll Never Forget We found Mikro Livadi by chance on our very first night on the island and instantly fell in love. What started as a spontaneous dinner turned into our go-to place for nearly every evening of our one week stay. The food is simply amazing. Authentic Greek cuisine cooked with love. Every dish is full of flavor, made with care, and served in generous portions that leave you full and happy. It’s exactly the kind of food that warms both your heart and your stomach. What makes Mikro Livadi truly special though is the people. The family who runs it, two kind siblings and their lovely parents, are some of the sweetest and most genuine people we’ve met on the island. They welcomed us with smiles, remembered our names, and made us feel like part of the family. This place has soul, warmth, and incredible food. We came back again and again, not just for the delicious meals but because it felt like home. Thank you for everything, Mikro Livadi. We will absolutely be back!

We are truly lost for words to describe just how wonderful To Mikro Livadi is. The food is absolutely delicious, healthy, and of the highest quality. We have a demanding daily diet, with numerous intolerances and allergies, so we pay attention to the quality of food—yet there was nothing here that we couldn’t eat, the quality of food was indeed superb. Secondly, the amazing family atmosphere—Angelika, Anastasia, and their mum—creates a lovely vibe that makes you want to return. We took advantage of many of their recommendations! Not to mention that the tables are set up in the pergola and in the garden, surrounded by nature, so your meal is accompanied by the sounds of cicadas and a gentle breeze. During our stay in Crete, we dined here around seven times and are already thinking about definitely coming back one day! We wholeheartedly recommend To Mikro Livadi!

Not as described – no response from hotel, case under review The accommodation differed significantly from the description: no bathtub, smaller than stated (it said 82sqm, but it was not even half of it) fewer beds, and a much greater distance to the beach than advertised (at least 300m, you can check it on Google Maps). There was no view at all, and the windows were tiny – a far cry from the bright, open space shown online. The rooms are dark and very gloomy. At check-in, we were offered a “free upgrade” – which turned out to be a downgrade, as all other rooms were under renovation at the time. So our request for the room we booked was simply ignored. I contacted the hotel in writing on June 3, 2025, detailing these issues. Despite setting a deadline and expressing willingness to resolve the matter amicably, I have received no response to date. Booking.com is currently reviewing the case. Their portion of the payment was promptly refunded – the hotel, however, has shown no willingness to resolve the issue. I strongly advise against booking this property especially if you have children or like bright and friendly rooms.
