Great hotel. The food was lovely in both the restaurant and the bar in the old train station .Staff couldn't do more and were so friendly. Beds were comfy and rooms clean . Little treat left on every bed. Very cute. Lots of lovely art around the hotel. Booked as a group of 20+ for 2 nights (Fri and sat) We went down as a photography club and it was a perfect location with so many places to visit north and south and inland. Good for night skies also with many dark sky areas within a 20 min drive and the desk manned at night. Thanks to the hotel credit to tourism

Overall my stay was nice! When I arrived there was a computer issue that was causing issues for the staff, but they were still prompt, kind and helpful. Because the system was down, I was personally shown to my room (I appreciated the team’s ability to stay calm and organized during the system outage). The room was nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a decent size! The breakfast served was great. There was a variety of options and the servers were kind and attentive. I would stay here again!

Beautiful hotel, very clean, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere at the reception. The manager is fantastic and makes you feel truly at home. Unfortunately, our evening was spoiled by the bartender, whose rude and arrogant attitude stood in stark contrast to the rest of the staff. After waiting 20 minutes just to be acknowledged, we were met with a dismissive and unfriendly response. If you can’t smile, communicate, or treat guests with basic courtesy, perhaps hospitality isn’t the right field. It’s a real shame, because the hotel itself is wonderful and set in a stunning Location.
