25hours Hotel Copenhagen Paper Island

Really good two night stay here in July 2025. We had an extra large room which was comfortably spacious and had a great view of the surrounding waters. The bed was large and the open plan bathroom, although a little different, was actually very pleasant. (see pics) The location is great, only about a 10min walk from Nyhavn, but felt pretty quiet. You can even jump into the water behind the hotel in a secluded area, rather than the other side of the island, which was full of locals swimming on a hot day. Didn't have breakfast included so can't comment on the food, although there were a few drinks and small snacks included in the room fridge, topped up daily. There was no room service (only every 3 days) but you could ring and ask for extra towels or anything else you might need.

For me personally, I didn’t find this hotel nice. Not convenient travelling with small kids at all. No real room service they have nothing they do nothing they outsource everything to the restaurant which isn’t keen on servicing hotel guests if their requests are outside their menu which is quite specific Thai food. There is no bathroom the shower is near your bed so if one person is sleeping, the other one cannot take a shower without disrupting. Location is quite good. The views from the rooms is very nice and the bedsheets and pillows are quite comfortable.

Terrible Security – Our Bags Were Stolen and Staff Did Nothing😡 We had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at this hotel in Copenhagen, and we want to warn fellow travelers to be extremely careful. While we were waiting during the check-in transition period, we left our luggage briefly in the hotel hallway — as instructed by the staff. However, there was no security, no access control, and no staff monitoring the area. As a result, some of our backpacks were stolen. The bags contained cash, credit cards, and one of them was even hidden in a corner, yet it was still taken!!😡 What made the situation worse was the hotel’s complete lack of responsibility and assistance. Staff only helped us check the surveillance footage, but told us we had to go to the police station and file the report all by ourselves. The hotel manager never showed up or contacted us, and no apology or support was offered at all. We were left to deal with everything on our own. Here are a few warnings for future travelers: 1. Never leave your luggage unattended, even inside the hotel. 2. Don’t assume cities like Copenhagen are theft-free — crimes do happen. 3. Make sure the hotel has a secure luggage storage area before booking. This incident completely ruined part of our trip, and we are deeply disappointed with the hotel’s handling of the situation.
