Grand & Ski Hotel Tornik was a fantastic experience. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and incredibly cozy, with breathtaking views from the balcony. The food is a real highlight: generous breakfast buffets, delicious local dishes, and great variety every day. The staff is exceptionally kind and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
We visited hotel Tornik in August 2024, actually spending a day in Spa Centre and Aqua park with a toddler. It was a great experience taking the fact that you can spend all day in a mini aqua park, pool, spa. We also had light lunch in the mini-restaurant next to the pool which, surprisingly, was not expensive as we expected. The only remark, though I had read about it before visiting Tornik, is very wet floor around pools and along hallways. Several children had slipped and hit the floor, especially next to the big pool. It would be great if the hotel had more staff available for cleaning floors, or offering rubber slippers, or at least informing the guests to bring their own rubber slippers when they make their booking. The hotel also offers nice outdoor playground for toddlers, as well as indoor children's playroom which is under video surveillance. The lady who works in the playroom was very nice to kids and helpful, though. The playroom is downstairs form the hotel pastry shop where we had lovely waffles and pancakes
The staff was fantastic, friendly and professional. The new Sky department is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the food offers a decent variety. Also, the rooms were extremely cold during the summer, which made the stay uncomfortable at times The spa area needs improvement: the salt room is disappointing, sauna temperatures are inconsistent with no supervision, and the Turkish bath is too dark or has a broken light. The pool is okay, but the water is too warm for my taste. The children’s area has serious issues, one slide is cracked with a rusty screw visible, and there’s no staff supervision. The overall aesthetic of the hotel feels a bit overly decorative and might not suit every taste.
