For this area of DC this is my preferred Marriott. There is valet but I prefer to park across the street at the Whole Foods garage ($50 overnight) just so I have quick access to my vehicle. Rooms look modern. Electric window blinds are starting show wear though. Staff were helpful. Received my room info on the app but key didn't come thru until I checked in at the desk. Room that I was assigned seemed like an upgrade so that was appreciated. Area is safe and easy walk a few blocks to plenty of restaurants.
This is a wonderful hotel with exceptional customer service and also located in a prime location, near the Navy Yard. I must mention the customer service was superb! The entire staff was so welcoming and friendly. The rooms were spacious, and quiet. I love the idea of having the bench alongside the wall so we can put our luggage and or sit when we needed to get dressed. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was really nice. The location was prime near plenty of bars and restaurants and not too far from the Nationals. Walking around was great. Also the gym was huge and it had a sauna which was a plus. The rooftop bar is wonderful with great views of the city. Parking is a bit pricey at $60 plus tax to park overnight. I would definitely stay here again!
Picture of Queen/Queen room with Capital view is completely misleading. The rooftop restaurant was unusable because it was rented to a private event. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was very weak. The main door for the bathroom was a sliding glass door with no sound insulation.
