Thanks to the staff that was helpful and friendly, and catered for our needs on time. Managers were always visible and checked if we were okay. However, my colleagues and I experienced wifi connectivity problems everyday of our stay. Please resolve urgently as I would like to recommend your hotel to my associates.

Great Location, Spacious Suites & Genuine Hospitality at Afrin Prestige Hotel – A Pleasant Stay with Room for Enhancement I stayed at Afrin Prestige Hotel in Maputo in April this year and had a pleasant and memorable experience, thanks to its strategic location, attentive staff, and local charm. The hotel is conveniently situated near a shopping mall, the scenic Maputo promenade, and several excellent restaurants including The Waterfront and South Beach Bar & Restaurant. It’s also right next to the 365 Gym and a local market, which is great for guests looking to explore both the city and local culture on foot. I stayed in a spacious suite, which offered plenty of room to unwind and was kept clean and well-maintained. The atmosphere around the hotel is enhanced by the impressive Mozambican/African artwork displayed throughout the property, adding a sense of place and creativity that makes it feel more than just another hotel. A special thank you to Chef Jardish, who was consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming whenever I dined at the hotel’s restaurant. The local dishes served were truly exceptional—flavourful, authentic, and prepared with care. It’s worth dining in just to experience the taste of Mozambique. I also want to recognize Antonio at the front desk, who was helpful and professional throughout my stay and the bar attendant who made good cocktails. While I enjoyed my experience and long stay, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve: Providing universal power adapters for international guests would be a helpful touch. Upgrading the TVs and modernizing the wall plugs/outlets in the room would enhance convenience, especially for business travelers. Offering larger bath towels and a choice of pillows—from feather to soft or firm—would improve comfort and sleep quality. All in all, Afrin Prestige Hotel offers warm hospitality, and a fantastic location. With a few thoughtful upgrades, it has the potential to be one of the standout stays in Maputo. I look forward to returning.
