Al Messila a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa Doha

I love love love this place. We booked the villa for my friend’s graduation and it was an amazing experience. Vonisha took care of us and she did an amazing job. She set up the room beautifully and even included a beautiful message and congratulations cake for my friend. She oversaw our entire experience and was overall very friendly and incredibly accommodating. She is such a unique person and she really made us feel welcome so much that we kept saying we will come back to celebrate everything in this hotel again and again. The villa was super clean, as was the private pool. The breakfast buffet was amazing, and the staff in general were incredibly kind and accommodating. Thank you so much to everyone and we can’t wait to come back again!

We stayed here for one night during our layover in Doha. The hotel has a striking architecture and lobby area. Due to my elite status, my room was upgraded to a beautiful suite. Since it was our anniversary trip, the staff had generously decorated our room, which was greatly appreciated. The spa facilities are very impressive, it's actually open to non hotel guests as well. The popular accommodations are the villas which were fully occupied when we were there May 21st, 2025. The massage therapist was skilled and accommodating. The location is quite far from the city center, we had to take Uber to and fro the airport, around 20 minute drive. It was quite hot outdoor so we decided not to utilize the pool facilities. The service and interaction by the staff felt a bit cold, not as friendly as their Dubai counterpart. We would probably opt to stay closer to downtown area next time.

I recently stayed at Al Messila Resort and booked a pool villa, but the experience was very disappointing. At check-in, one of my bags was held by the staff without informing me. I was looking everywhere for it until I went to the reception, only to be told they had it. Their explanation was that it contained a wine bottle. But this is not a dry hotel — they serve alcohol here — so instead of simply calling my number or the villa to inform me, they kept it without notice. To make matters worse, they refused to return the bag immediately or drop me to my villa by buggy. I had to walk in the heat to get there. On top of that, the kitchen was completely empty — all utensils had been removed. For the price I paid, this was nowhere near a luxury experience. The service was unprofessional, communication was poor, and overall, I was left very disappointed. I would not recommend this place.
