Al Mirqab Boutique Hotel

Great location, right in the heart of the souk so ideal for someone who likes the hustle and bustle of traditional markets. The rooms were nice and spacious, with a comfortable bed. Two downers for us were firstly I had checked if the pool was heated and was told it was, but when arrived I was told it wasn't albeit the sister hotel a few mins away had a heated pool so that was ok as we could use that. Secondly as a family our rooms were separated which was slightly annoying albeit this was resolved by Yacine on the front desk after a couple of days and he also kindly provided a room upgrade. He was excellent in terms of how he handled the whole matter. Very friendly staff. Point to note is they serve breakfast in a different building about 5 mins walk away which is perfect during the winter months but this could be hard during the summer. They do have a golf buggy to ferry people too and from, albeit you do have to wait at times. Having said all of that, would I go again? Yes.

I enjoyed our stay here and would be more than happy to return. we had a lovely spacious room overlooking the souk. the swimming pool was very close to our room. the staff at the hotel were brilliant so friendly and helpful. the location in Souk Waqif is perfect. the one negative is breakfast. Breakfast is served at the Al Jasra hotel. the hotel provides golf carts to take you there. it takes over five minutes. all in all enjoyed our stay.
