We spent our 5-day holiday with a total of 8 people as two families and the hotel pleased us beyond our expectations. The cleanliness of the hotel, the quality of the food, and the smiling faces of the staff were particularly noteworthy. Our little girl had a lot of fun at the Mini Club throughout the day and at the Mini Disco in the evening. The Turkish Music (Fasıl) night in particular gave us unforgettable moments. We are looking forward to spending our holiday again at this hotel, which we were pleased with in every respect.

I have just returned from a week stay in this hotel which all in all a good stay. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: Great value for money Food is one of the best all inclusives I’ve experienced. Food options are excellent. The snack bar menu and the food at the beach bar is an added bonus. I’m not a sweet tooth but the desserts were fresh and plentiful. Good facilities such as the coffee bar, beach bar, pools, bowling etc. Well presented public areas. Location is a little quiet but bus stops right outside to side and surrounding areas. The beach is absolutely beautiful and well kept. Very clean. Friendly staff. Cons: Rooms are a little dated but clean at least. I asked 3 times for soap and shower gel in the room. It took 2 days to get some soap and bought my own shower gel as it was never replaced in a week. If you have a pool view room be prepared for the noise from the outside terrace of the lobby bar. I can’t understand why night staff allow the chaos outside when there are so many rooms nearby. The aircon was so bad we had to sleep with the door open which made it much worse. Eventually bought some earplugs to help sleep. The drinks weren’t great. Cheap spirits and terrible wine. Thankfully we brought our own from duty free.

Alba Royal – Side
The Solana Benidorm of Turkey This hotel came recommended, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. In my opinion, this is not a five-star resort by any reasonable standard—closer to a three-and-a-half at best. That said, I did my best to enjoy the holiday, but I won’t be returning. General Impressions
The property feels tired, with dated 1970s-style décor, scuffed flooring, and damaged picture frames throughout. Staff were largely disengaged and at times indifferent—something you don’t expect from a so-called luxury resort. Food & Dining Experience
This was arguably the most disappointing aspect of the stay. The main buffet lacked variety and quality. Dinner service is between 7–9pm, yet unless you arrive after 8pm, seating is a challenge—and by 8:40pm, food is already being cleared away. Queues were long, the atmosphere chaotic, and service felt transactional at best unless a tip was involved. Particularly disheartening was watching hotel managers dine calmly while guests struggled to find tables. Rooms
The rooms were basic but functional. Air conditioning worked well, but amenities were lacking—only one pillow per person, and oddly, after tipping the maid on day two, housekeeping standards noticeably declined. At one point, my duvet was even removed and not replaced. The TV never worked despite raising the issue, and the in-room safe was an additional charge—something I’ve never encountered at any other supposed five-star property. Entertainment
The entertainment offering was minimal and clearly not geared toward English-speaking guests. Activities lacked energy and initiative, with most conducted in German or Turkish. Evening shows were uninspired and took place in a cramped amphitheatre with uncomfortable plastic seating. Pool & Outdoor Facilities
The pool was a highlight—good size, clean, and with enjoyable slides. However, sunbeds were in very short supply. Despite rules stating no reserving before 8am, most loungers were taken by 6am, with staff seemingly turning a blind eye unless tipped to "hold" towels. The beach bar had a pleasant atmosphere, but food was repetitive—pizza, chips, and burgers day in and day out. Summary
This is not a five-star resort. It may edge into four-star territory in some areas, but overall felt more like a solid three. I did manage to enjoy parts of my stay, but was ultimately relieved when it came to an end. Sadly, I won’t be returning.
