Allegro Madeira Adults Only

Friendly staff and clean hotel. We enjoyed the little surprises the staff gave us, and the extras such as the sweets in reception. Really nice rooftop bar, although I agree that it should be non-smoking. Tasty breakfast, good room, great pool area. Good location for walking into the town (around 25mins), although it is a lot of uphill on the way back. We would hear the other room doors slamming from the bedroom sometimes, this is something that could be improved. Thank you!

Allegro is a fantastic hotel to stay, and in a great area! In terms of the hotel itself, it's clean, safe and offers lovely views from pretty much anywhere! Every member of staff has been exceptional in all ways possible. They care for you, and are always ready to help. In terms of the area, it's fantastic! There are at least 7 places to get supplies/grocery, including a good sized supermarket if you walk down the back. Loads & loads of restaurants & cafes around. Great breakfast, lovely pool area, lovely rooftop restaurant (with regular live DJ nights, etc). The experience was so good that we've already started thinking about visiting again! Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is in a good location. You can walk or take the bus downtown. The room is a good size. If you get a corner unit then you've two balconies as you get one off your bathroom. The TV plays a couple English shows. I'd stay here again and had no real issues with my stay. The breakfast is what you'd expect from a mid-price hotel. It was fine but nothing outstanding.
