This is a beautiful hotel in a quiet valley. It has good (intermediate) skiing and walking on its doorstep with free regular transport to the ski lifts (only 5 mins on the bus). Our room was luxurious, comfortable and elegant. But it was the food that completely blew us away. The restaurant serves gourmet meals and every course is an explosion of flavours. The staff are so kind and courteous and made us feel very welcome.
The glacier is really nice, but I do feel that I keep coming back to the valley for this hotel 😉 Sportalm is a lovely, family-run place with unforgettable atmosphere. The hotel keeps evolving and getting upgraded as time passes, to make sure that overall quality of stay remains top-notch.
They try to be a luxury hotel but reality bites. The food and the public facilities are good, but the suite (65m...) was a complete disappointment. The beds are uncomfortable. No wifi in all of the rooms of the suite, just in the corridor near the phone. We complained about it but nothing was done for 3 days. No mini bar, no electric kettle or espresso machine. No wifi in most of the public areas of the hotel including the restaurant. They transfer the garbage in the guest elevator so it stinks part of the day. They charge you for water in dinner although it is served in a regular open bottle like tap water - they didnt even inform about that... The vibes in the hotel are uptight. And from bad to worse, when my 3yo son felt bad and vomit the receptionist handed gloves to my wife and asked her to clean in - just a disgrace
