Fantastic hotel, would absolutely stay again! Room was well appointed with refrigerator, microwave, coffee, toaster oven and even a tiny dishwasher. Me and my two adult-sized son's were very comfortable in the room with 2 queen size beds and pullout couch. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, our room walked out via French doors to a grassy area bordered by the river and mountains. There were what appeared to be resident deer around in the afternoons, just lovely. Also super close to Zion and the on-site restaurant is very good. Stay here, you will not be disappointed!

It’s a jewel. In terms of service, it’s the best I have got till now. They have buggy and they drop and pick you up from the market place. The rooms were very clean and nice. The swimming pool was great. Overall a very memorable stay.

We spent a week at Amara Resort and Spa and overall had a very good experience. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Sedona Uptown, with its shops and restaurants, which we really appreciated. It was great to be able to explore on foot while still having a rental car for hikes and longer excursions. The facilities are well maintained, and our room was spacious, spotless, and quiet, with a lovely small balcony. The housekeeping team did an outstanding job every single day. However, despite the cleanliness, we noticed a persistent musty/moldy smell in the bathroom that never went away, which was disappointing and slightly affected the overall feel—especially given the hotel’s high-end positioning. The pool area was another letdown. It’s quite small and was sometimes overcrowded. Lounge chairs were packed tightly together. That said, there are definitely highlights: the on-site restaurant adds convenience, especially for families; complimentary valet parking was a great touch, and the valet team was incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel is also dog-friendly, which is great for pet owners—though for us, we were hoping for a slightly more tranquil experience. In terms of value for price, it’s worth noting that while many aspects align with a premium resort, a few gaps in service and amenities (like front desk knowledge or the towel policy not being followed) make the price point feel a little steep. Overall, we would recommend Amara, just be sure to manage expectations around a few of the finer details.
