Angkor Holiday Hotel

Angkor Holiday Hotel is well-located, making it a convenient stay for exploring Siem Reap. While the hotel is a bit old, it is still well-maintained and provides a decent level of comfort. My initial room had a slight smell, but the staff promptly addressed the issue by changing my room without any hassle, which showed their good service. The breakfast options were fair, with a decent variety and good taste. Overall, it’s a reasonable choice for travelers looking for a budget-friendly stay with a central location and responsive service.

1. Overall Impression: Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing and frustrating. We do not recommend this hotel under any circumstances. 2. Location: While the hotel is located in the city center, the convenience of the location does not make up for the many serious issues we encountered. 3. Room and Amenities: The hotel placed us on an old, unrenovated floor (Level 4) without any prior notice. The rooms were outdated, poorly maintained, and clearly not up to standard for paying guests. 4. Service: Customer service was unacceptable. Staff showed no initiative or concern in addressing guest inquiries or resolving problems. There was a clear lack of care and professionalism. 5. Value for Money: The price paid was unjustifiable considering the condition of the rooms and the poor service provided. This was not a fair or reasonable value. 6. Positive and Negative Aspects: Unfortunately, there were no positive aspects to our stay. From the moment we arrived, the experience was stressful rather than relaxing. The hotel is very old and in need of major renovation. Guests were placed in unrenovated rooms without prior notice. The restroom had no running water for an entire night, and the hotel provided no explanation or solution. 7. Overall Recommendation: We strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The combination of poor service, unacceptable room conditions, and unresolved issues like the lack of water reflect a serious lack of management and hospitality standards. Guests deserve better, and this hotel fails to deliver even the basics.

Cheating hotel! Stayed for 2 nights and definitely wouldn’t recommend it. The minibar was confusing—staff told us the 2 bottles of water in the fridge were free on the first day, but the next day they said only the one next to the tea was free. At checkout, they charged us for beers we never drank (we don’t even drink alcohol). When we pointed it out, they changed their story and claimed it was water instead. No apology, just rude. To top it off, there was mold on the ceiling and the bathroom had a moldy smell. Not worth the stay. We don’t mind the extra charge but what really bothers us is the lack of honesty.
