Amazing experience, a must go hotel, very friendly and easy going staff. Delicious food with beautiful beaches and very quite. The rooms (houses) are spacious, antique and very comfortable. There is a slight issue with the running water being a bit salty due to the underground water source which the hotel is working to resolve. This hotel has become our favorite spot to visit when coming to Zanzibar and we will surely be booking here again.
This hotel used to be a real 5-star heaven, back in 2018, but it has sadly become a total mess as of today. Premises are neglected. Staff is friendly but insufficient and under-qualified. No manager on site. The audience has changed following the quality of service, both corresponding to a random 3-star hotel rather than a 5-star as it still pretends.
STAY FAR AWAY!!! Several other couples/families left as we did upon arrival sacrificing deposits/payments etc… this is a horrid hotel that could hardly pass as a 2 star… it’s not even close to the 5 star it pretends to be. Hardly even basic essentials in the restaurant… it’s not the staffs fault, but the owners are abysmal. Please do not donate anymore money to these crooks
