Excellent location, service, and comfort in the apartment we chose for our long weekend. It had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, was spacious and comfortable, and had views of the El Tarter ski slopes. The only thing was the sofa bed, which sagged when you sat down, and it was a must-have for changing.
The apartment did not meet the specifications of the rental we had booked. Even though we had requested enhanced cleaning weeks before our stay due to allergies (based on reviews we had seen that indicated a lack of cleaning in the attic), upon arrival the apartment was not clean and showed signs of not having been deep cleaned for some time. The Wi-Fi didn't work, except for WhatsApp, which we weren't informed about prior to our stay. For this reason, we were unable to use the accommodation for work as we had planned. Finally, the staff was very unfriendly and unsympathetic when we respectfully communicated these shortcomings to them; quite the opposite. The apartment is beautiful and is located in a quiet and pleasant area for enjoying the mountains. For everything else, I would not recommend staying here.
Looking for a beautiful place with terrible service? You found it! Wonderful views with a fireplace, a welcome cleaning package as crappy as the attitude of three reception staff (verified on three different shifts). On our first visit, we reported that the loft was full of dust, something we'd given five months' notice since we have allergies. Their response? Evading responsibility and blaming the housekeeper and Airbnb. A day later, they barely cleaned. Second round: the Wi-Fi. We wanted to work remotely, which wasn't feasible despite the vegan meatball arepas we made, delicious by the way. Their response? "The Wi-Fi is standard, for sending WhatsApp messages and a couple of emails, just like we would at home." Thank goodness I downloaded the Paquita Salas episodes. Third visit for the handover of keys. Their response? They won't do anything, it's not their problem; Airbnb is the one who has to answer for it. In conclusion, I hope they don't charge me the €100 they withheld in case we left the trash untaken out. (GTF?!)
