Aparthotel Tropic Garden

We recently stayed at the hotel for our first overseas family holiday and were delighted with it. We were impressed by the cleanliness and number of staff who were constantly on the go - there was never a time when a member of staff wasn’t around. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. We were all inclusive and enjoyed the variety of the hotel buffet, where they had different theme nights (eg Italian, Greek, American, Mexican etc) and a very good selection inc lots of local dishes. I tried to try a bit of everything and there were no dodgy tummies for any of us during our stay. The swimming pool was a touch on the cold side but the weather wasn’t exactly boiling every day (we stayed in early May). Not sure if this is typical for early May or if we were a bit unlucky with the weather. We enjoyed the evening entertainment and our young daughter particularly enjoyed the shows the entertainment team put on. My only slight gripe is there was no lock on the bathroom door - anyone who is a parent knows you need a lock on the door or you’re constantly interrupted in there!! We would definitely return again.

Our week at the hotel was really nice. The rooms were good for what we needed, and the beds were super comfy, which helped us sleep well. The kitchen was a bit small, but it was fine. We loved the pool because it was just the right temperature, and the hotel restaurant had tasty food. The included Breakfast buffet was great with lots of choices, like yogurt, pancakes, and different kinds of bread. The evening shows were really fun for the kids, with something different every night.

We stayed here with an all-inclusive package expecting a relaxing family holiday, but unfortunately the experience left us frustrated and disappointed. You walking into the lobby it is hot like outside because their AC is barely working , also in rooms and restaurant. The food was the biggest letdown. For a hotel in Ibiza — and Spain in general — I expected much better quality and variety. The selection was poor, the food was bland and repetitive, and breakfast was exactly the same every single day. It got to the point where we just skipped meals. Shockingly, the kids’ buffet was only available at dinner. Why can’t children have access to a tailored menu at breakfast or lunch? Makes no sense for a family-oriented hotel. Our room was outdated and smelled bad. The “bed” was just two smaller beds pushed together, which made sleeping extremely uncomfortable. Housekeeping was also very underwhelming — our dirty glasses sat in the sink for the entire four-night stay and were never cleaned or replaced. The room was never properly cleaned, just tidied up on the surface. To top it all off, when I asked the front desk for a late checkout because my baby was sleeping, they agreed — but charged us €30 for just one extra hour, despite the fact that we had paid for a higher-tier all-inclusive package. Absolutely tone-deaf and lacking in basic hospitality. The only positive experience was the friendly staff at the bar and amazing animation team who were kind and welcoming every day. They were the one bright spot in an otherwise underwhelming stay. Would I come back? Definitely not. Tropic Garden looks good on the surface, but delivers very little in comfort, service, or value. One star — and one star only.
