Perfect hotel for solo travelers - a combination of b&b (personal touch), hotel (cleaning, amenities, breakfast) and hostel (kitchen, self laundry, shared bathroom, price). Ursula and Chris are amazing hosts and very knowledgable about the area and gave me good recommendations about hiking trails. Ursula even gave me a waterproof spray for my hiking shoes! I loved the healthy breakfast and the breakfast room with the big windows facing the garden. My room was small but comfortable (with a sink) and I had amazing view of the Jungfrau from the window. The shared kitchen and bathroom were kept very clean, and next to the kitchen there is a small sitting area with magazines and many books in English. I stayed there 10 days and would definitely come again!

I spent 4 days at the Rugenpark Hotel in early March 2011 and was very satisfied with everything. My experience was similar to those of others here who were happy there. Ursula was very helpful and very knowledgeable, and I was quite happy with the room, the fantastic breakfast and pretty much everything else. Next time I go to Interlaken the Rugenpark will be the first place I will check for available rooms. I can recommend it to anyone who is looking for a very nice place to stay at a very reasonable price.

Amazing. My third time in interlaken and finally I found the perfect place to stay!!! Rugenpark hotel makes you feel comfortable as if you were at home! Great breakfast and Ursula is an amazing person! Also I got an amazing room with a view of the jungfraujoch mountain!!! I'll come back soon! Greetings from Brazil!
