Let me start by saying despite any of the cons below, we had a lovely holiday and ultimately nothing was horrendous. I have been to worse but I have also been to much better! This villa for me personally was very average. Pros: Pool was extremely clean and stayed that way for our 10 day stay! It was not too cold but not warm, it is a decent size and in a good location to the sun so as not to be freezing cold! The view from the pool is also stunning. Very close to lots of restaurants and not too far from Paphos Airport. Solmar Villas rep had to come out as the water had been turned off by someone before we arrived and the gent was extremely quick within 30 mins was there and was very helpful and solved within minutes. The villa has a lot of space and was a good size. The cleaning ladies came half way through to change sheets and towels and were super friendly! Cons: ANTS! There were so many Ants, I think because it is on a hill side amongst shrubbery, we had to put ant spray along all the doors and window seal by the kitchen every 3 days, otherwise they would be all over the lower floor, we even found them over the door to the fridge and freezer on our first day. We had to buy a mop to clean up the ants we were killing with the spray regularly. The construction work both next door and a few villas down, they started at 7AM which isn’t ideal when you want a lie in on holiday. Also felt very self conscious by the pool as they were literally watching over into the garden area. If you don’t care about privacy then this won’t matter. The Villa and pool is also facing onto the road so any cars going past can clearly see you. The beds are very firm, everyone has an individual preference but these beds were very firm. The internet is not amazing, it does work and we used a google chrome cast on the TV whilst there but it is slow and took a minute to load things. This Villa is actually called Villa Aqua Royal, this is what the Villa is sign posted as on the building itself, however on google maps it is called Villa Aqua Blue, this made things difficult for finding the Villa and getting food delivered.

Brilliant view. Nice villa. But very steep hill up to it. Not for the faint hearted walker !!!

Review of Aqua Blue Villa in Coral Bay, Paphos I recently stayed at Aqua Blue Villa in Coral Bay, Paphos, and while the location was absolutely lovely—with stunning views of the bay—the overall experience was unfortunately marred by several (unavoidable issues) First, the positives: Aqua Blue Villa is a charming property, perfectly situated to enjoy the scenic backdrop of Coral Bay. It is in close proximity to Paphos and Coral Bay which is perfect if you have a hire car. It is has a private pool which has a great view (slightly detracted by the road leading to the villa and construction works) Upon arrival, we found that the bed sheets on the downstairs double bed were dirty and appeared as though they had already been slept in (hair, specks of food/dirt). The mattress itself was extremely uncomfortable due to broken springs and was covered in stains that appeared to be blood. The "smart TV" in the villa was outdated, with software from 2019 that rendered all applications unusable. There was no Ariel/digital TV option and the DVD player that was present didn't have any DVD's to accompany it. In an age where streaming services are a staple for many travelers (especially with children) this was quite disappointing. Recommend bringing a fire stick if you have one! The overall cleanliness of the house left much to be desired. We had to sweep the floor as soon as we got in. There were dead bugs on the blinds and around the house. There was also food remnants on plates that had been put away, suggesting a lack of thorough cleaning before our arrival. It’s clear that Aqua Blue Villa has potential, but it seems to suffer from a lack of Tender Loving Care (TLC) and investment from the management team. Solmar Villas appears to be UK-based, which makes me think that the cleaning and maintenance are contracted locally, but the standards simply do not reflect the expectations one might have for a property in such a beautiful location. In summary, while Aqua Blue Villa is a lovely property with a great view the lack of attention to cleanliness and maintenance significantly detracted from our stay. The biggest thing for us was the beds/cleanliness standard.
