Archer Hotel Old Town Alexandria

Wow! A beautiful gem of a hotel in the perfect location. We were delighted with our warm welcome and loved our room. The bed was comfortable and the room decor was sleek, tasteful, and relaxing. Most of all, we were genuinely impressed with the kind treatment from the front desk, valet attendants, house keeping, and guest services team throughout our extended stay. The team went above and beyond to welcome our young daughter, dog, and to make every moment special. The coffee bar in the morning and fresh water throughout was a nice treat. Highly recommend!

Very friendly staff and beautiful hotel! Although smaller than im ised to, the rooms were bright and clean, and the beds, along with the pillows, were extremely comfortable. Great location, near metro, restaurants, and shopping. A couple of things I really didn't like were the outdated TVs (not smart TV) with very few channels and the smell on the hallways. I highly recommend cleaning the carpets on the regular if you're going to be a pet friendly hotel. Also, add a better filter system because it was very humid and stuffy in the halls

*****Amendment to previous review***** Be aware if you are booking here on business travel, they are unable to provide an itemized receipt of taxes & fees. Hotel claims this is due to booking through a 3rd party website but when my husband booked, he believed he was booking directly with the hotel because he called them directly. Trying to report the proper amount to his employer for reimbursement has been nothing short of a nightmare & the Archer claims they have no way to access an itemized receipt which just can’t be right. Oh well, we loved the hotel but won’t be back. Loved everything about this hotel. Beautiful, clean rooms, very comfy beds, extremely quiet, friendly, welcoming staff. Location is perfect as well.
