Auberge du Vieux Port

We had the most amazing stay here at the end of May. The location is excellent with easy walking everywhere. Our room was beautiful and spacious with a great view over the harbour. The food in every part of the hotel was delicious and beautifully presented. The entire staff was more than exceptional. I would like to give special thanks to Vana, Suzanne and Jeremy. Jeremy, our forgotten items arrived safely. Thank you for your patience in making that happen. We would love to visit you all again!

We loved our cozy room with its gorgeous water views—it felt so peaceful and was a great spot to unwind. The room was spotless and had everything we needed, though the bed was a bit on the lumpy side. We could hear some loud door-slamming from other guests, which wasn’t ideal, but overall, it was a relaxing stay. The toiletries in the shower were running low, but we didn’t ask for more since shared ones aren’t our favourite (we don’t like the idea of previous guests tampering with them). The front desk team was amazing and made late checkout super easy. Valet parking was a little over $50 a night, and they took excellent care of our large SUV—no scratches, which we really appreciated! Dining on the terrace the first night was such a treat. The views were stunning, the service was wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious. Yes, it was a bit pricey, but totally worth it for the experience. Would happily stay and dine here again!

I don’t even know where to begin, our stay at Auberge du Vieux-Port was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that set the tone for the entire trip. Every single detail of our stay was thoughtfully curated, and it truly felt like a home away from home, with a luxurious twist. The room was stunning, exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and massive windows overlooking the St. Lawrence River made it feel like we were in a romantic movie. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, the bathroom was pristine and well-stocked, and I couldn’t get enough of the little touches like plush robes, fancy toiletries, and complimentary coffee and water. Breakfast at Taverne Gaspar every morning was such a treat, delicious, fresh, and made to order. And don’t even get me started on the rooftop terrace. Watching the sunset with a cocktail in hand while the city buzzed below us was pure magic. The location couldn’t be more perfect. Right in the heart of Old Montreal, we were steps away from incredible restaurants, charming boutiques, and beautiful historic sites. Yet, inside the hotel, it was quiet and peaceful, like a hidden oasis. Above all, the staff made this experience extraordinary. Every single person we interacted with went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, happy, and having a great time. Hands down, this was the best stay we've ever had. If you’re visiting Montreal and want a truly special experience, do yourself a favor and stay at Auberge du Vieux-Port. We’re already dreaming of coming back
