Room was spacious and clean, bed and bedding was excellent. Wish it didn’t have carpet on the floor and that the windows were bigger. Breakfast was fresh and had a nice variety to choose from. Excellent service, both at reception and breakfast restaurant, as well as the cleaning crew.

Perfect location, when you arrive by bus it's right across the street. Of course, you must go three blocks to get to it. If you are hauling a suitcase on wheels from the bus station, go the route towards the river. There are no stairs that way and very few cobblestones to cross. If you go the other route lots of cobblestones. A terrific location also for getting to Old Town! It is right on the edge of Old Town. Very comfortable room, clean, plenty of light. I would recommend to stay here.

Stayed at the Avalon & Conferences Hotel in Riga for a few days - in general we were satisfied. First of all, I want to note the very pleasant and polite staff: the staff was responsive, always ready to help and answered any questions with a smile. It gave a good first impression. Another plus is the excellent location. The hotel is located in the heart of Riga, literally within walking distance of the Old Town, close to cafes, shops and attractions. This is convenient, especially if you plan to explore the city on foot. Of the minuses - we got a room on the ground floor with a "view to nowhere": the window faced directly on the wall of the neighbouring building, and, to be honest, it spoiled the overall impression of living a little. There was little light in the room, and the feeling of isolation was a little stressful. Perhaps it is worth clarifying when booking that the room is on the top floor or at least with a normal view. Otherwise, the hotel left a pleasant impression: clean, comfortable, breakfast with a good selection, and the overall quality of service at the level. I think we would consider the possibility of staying here again - taking into account the nuances.
