Avana Suites

Room was clean, had basic kitchen amenities, bathroom clean. Main room was very nice, only issue was kitchen a little old. Still, was allowed to check in early as room was clear, and could check out late no problems.

Made a booking through booking.com and got a room allocates however when reached at motel, I was given a different room. Interesting part starts here, joinery of kitchenette floor and room carpet had the nail out which pintched us badly many a times. Along with this, the calling phone wasn't working at all. Got the room changed to another only to find more issues there. Leaky wash area, washroom lock wasn't working and the exhaust fan was not working at all. I believe, a lot of maintenance work needs to be conducted in these 2 room and not sure about other rooms. Only good thing about it is, its location and some of the staff (but not all) is courteous. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone I know.

The ONLY positive thing going for this place is it’s semi handy location. We will never stay here ever again. Wouldn’t allow us to access the room a minute before 2.00pm check in time. Unit was filthy and I had to clean encrusted food off the bench top. No iron or ironing board. Had to ask for it. No hairdryer. Had to ask for it too. Internet was absolutely pathetic. Bathroom was filthy as was the whole unit. We didn’t use any cutlery or cups etc as we couldn’t guarantee it was actually clean. We have stayed here previously a few years back and the place has obviously changed hands and gone downhill significantly. Terrible experience all round.
