We absolutely loved the pool and the hot tubs. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, especially Daniel. Rooms were spotless and housekeeping went above and beyond, they even folded clothes that we left out. The included breakfast was lovely by the pool, always fresh and tasty. The ambiance of the hotel is very relaxing and we enjoyed the boutique feel. As others have mentioned, it's worth noting that the property is a bit out of the town centre, but very nice to be away from the noise and it's only a short walk away. We had a car and were travelling to different beaches daily to surf so it was ideal for us to not have to deal with busy/ small roads closer to the centre.
Every time I visit hotel Avela I feel so at home. The people are always so nice and helpful and make me feel so welcome. The pool is clean, relaxing and the perfect place to get away from the noise and enjoy the day.
They call this hotel "boutique" but it's more like bougie. They offer a decent breakfast but the restaurant closes at 3 pm. We were hungry and arrived at 4 pm. We had to go into town for food. The rooms are sparsely decorated (macrame!) and the staff leaves at 10 pm. The people who live across the street started BLASTING mariachi at 10:30 and it didn't stop until I begged them to turn it down. During this, the hotel staff was unavailable and didn't answer ANY phone number we had for them. I vehemently do not recommend this so-called "hotel".
