I stayed in Baku Hotel Ganja for two nights. The staff were friendly and kind, I had a lot of questions and they were always helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and had good facilities. The room had a terrace and I enjoyed it. The hotel has a good location and you can visit many attractions on foot. Breakfast was buffet style and acceptable. I wished the staff were fluent in English. Buffet breakfast in the hot food section can be more varied, as well as served hot (they had become cold).
The Hotel makes you feel stressed. Here is my honest review: The Hotel registered my stay dates to next month by mistake. 2 days for this month and the third day to next month. This isn't the worst part yet. They apologized for that mistake but didn't compensate or gave me any other alternative due to occupied rooms. So I had to leave to find another hotel. Before that, reception made me wait at least 2 hours in lobby after long trip, with the false promise to fix that issue. The hotel have rooms facing the school and in the opposite, the busy street side. At night it is impossible to sleep in the room facing the street side due to loud noises. Sound insulation isn't that good to block all the car, mad motorbike sounds coming from outside. It seems like there is always a racing competition in that street. In reception they deliberately offer you street side even though plenty of empty rooms facing the school side. So, don't be shy, ask to give you room from the school side if you happen to choose this hotel by chance. Next time I had to stay there due to contract with the company I work in. In reception, they make you wait ages before giving the key card of your room. Girls and boys (which are seems or may be indeed underaged/less than 18 years old) seems nervous, don't great you well and sometimes laughing mockingly at guests for no reason. But I don't blame those children, management should be blamed. Apart from above, there was bedside lamp but no socket to plug in. TVs are old and slow. Any PROs? Sure. The location of the hotel is good. Rooms, bathrooms are clean and the breakfast is rich of food. In conclusion, this hotel seems like to exist and serve local celebrities, musicians and friends of the management or in other words, specific clients rather than new guests. It can be perfect for single night stay but definitely not worth to stay for a couple of days or more.
Poor service, no trust, made us wait 15min at the check out to make sure the rooms are fine. Made us wait 15 min at check in to make sure we are "legally" allowed to be in Azerbaidjan... That did not happen in the 3 other hotels we have been to in the country. We are a family of 7. Breakfast staff was rude. We asked for milk for 4 kids, they brought us 2 and said it was "enough"... No facilities.
