Ballymascanlon Hotel and Golf Resort

Nice hotel. Beautiful grounds. Perfect for golfers. Nice leisure centre. The outdoor hot tub was a nice surprise. Tea and coffee making in the room. Perfect hotel for a wedding. Two on during our stay. The original old house is fairly swallowed up by the hotel but the reception area is in the old part.

Just back from a two night stay with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived on Tuesday and Linda on reception was very cheerful and helpful. Also a special mention for Natalia who brought us our breakfast to the room both mornings. She was also very cheerful. When we arrived to our room they had left us a plate with strawberries and chocolate brownies with happy anniversary written on the plate. All the staff in the hotel were lovely and friendly. Will definitely go back there again and would highly recommend this hotel

We recently stayed at this hotel and were immediately impressed. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was warm and professional. The food was very good; we had both at breakfast and dinner. Unfortunately, what could have been a perfect stay was disrupted by extremely loud wedding guests that went on until 4 a.m. The (bad :) ) singing and shouting from the terrace bar outside seatingmade it nearly impossible to sleep. We tried calling the front desk twice during the night, but no one answered. The next morning, we were told that the front desk staff had been called away to deal with an incident at the bar — which may explain the lack of response, but it didn’t help us get any rest. If you’re planning to stay here, we recommend asking for a room as far from the terrace bar as possible — especially on weekends. This hotel has so much going for it, but the noise level during events can really affect the experience. For the price, you would expect better! Revising this after the hotel responded to my original post stating they would contact me and never followed through. Disappointing!
