We (2 adults and one child) spent here 5 nights in October 2023 and enjoyed our stay very much! It was amazing to sleep with the sound of waves and wake up and see the ocean directly in front of your room. The facilities are very good - the rooms are equipped with everything you need and you have a shared open-air kitchen at your disposal which we used a lot. In fact, there are not so many places to eat out directly in San Augustinillo. Besides that, we could have our food with the best view - seeing the ocean from the table. Our son loved to play in the sand and pet the dogs directly in front of the accommodation. We actually felt here like home and did not want to leave. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the ocean/beach life, you should come here.

Hats off to the Owner/Manager Miguel, super cool and accommodating guy. We were incredibly impressed with the cleanliness of our ocean front room- literally steps from the beach. Lounging areas were comfy and calm, Room was large, GREAT BEDS, strong clean fans, solid water pressure. Communal kitchen and fridge space was helpful for keeping drinks and food cold. Would recommend to any & all!

We rented the Pelicano room which has two levels and two beds. Here’s what I wish I knew before coming here: Pros: - The owner is kind and communicative and did everything he could to make us happy and comfortable. A good man. - Housekeeping does not clean with any harsh chemicals and the room and sheets don’t smell like fragrance. - Location is right on the beach with nice beach furniture. Our room faced the ocean, a dream view! - We came during down season so the beach was empty and quiet- way more chill than neighboring Mazunte and nude breach Zipolite with their beach DJ’s. Felt like our own private beach. - Beds were surrounded by mosquito nets and a large fan is attached to the inside of the bed, a smart way to keep cool with protective netting. Cons: - Units are an open format building which means doors are sliding slats and roofs are palm leaves, leaving you open to animals, insects and the environment. If you don’t like bugs, mosquitos, stray cats and torrential evening rain seeping into your living quarters this is not the place for you. - No AC so you better like sleeping I mean sweating in 80% humidity combined with 90 degree temperatures. - Open format bathroom with no doors and a perfect view from the top floor (no walls) means you are showering and pooping communally in front of your family and friends. - We came during down season which means cheaper prices but the trade off is the construction during the day- a soundtrack of pounding, drilling, and the smells of paint wafting around. This is true for much of Mexico. - Most upsetting for us- 3 dogs live on the property and every morning around 5:45-6:00AM they will wake you up with a trio of loud barking as they chase the lifeguard ATV up and down the beach. Probably after a few weeks of acclimatizing this would blend into the background of local sounds, but the open format units means there’s no sound barrier to your daily alarm clock. If you are a light sleeper, consider this before booking.
