Barceló San Salvador

Everything about this hotel is just right. Price (through Booking.com) was superb, very fairly priced. Service, very good! They help with the bags on both check-in and checkout. They have two main restaurants, one is tailored to sports aficionados with large screens, and all the typical food and snacks you’d expect. The other is a really good Italian restaurant. The asparagus cream soup (try it!) and pastas are very authentic and taste great. Location is always prime! There are TONS and TONS of restaurants just a few feet away. Shopping mall right in front as well as a pharmacy. It’s just great! If we ever come back to San Salvador, this is where we’re staying again, no doubt. My friend and I tried the jacuzzi, sauna, vapor room, gym and pool. All these are typical for hotels, nothing outstanding about them but definitely on the larger side and well kept.

The hotel is fantastic. It shows a little age but the hotel still holds its glory. The service is amazing. The breakfast and all the food is delicious. From the time you arrive, they receive you like you are the most important guest. Like they’ve been waiting for your arrival for a year. They bring your luggage upstairs and the bell staff shows you where everything is (like the good old days in most hotels). The bed is super comfortable. The shower has lots of pressure and unlimited hot water. You want breakfast in your room? One phone call and 20 minutes later they bring it and set it up. While I don’t drink, you can end the day in Churchill’s bar. The staff there is fantastic and literally knows your name. It is worth staying here.

We greatly appreciated our two-night stay at the Barcelo hotel, where we found the staff to be both professional and welcoming. The buffet provided simple yet fresh and delicious food. I would certainly recommend it to anyone seeking a high-quality hotel experience at a very reasonable price.
