My family and I just returned from a lovely stay at Barrier Beach. The staff are excellent, the facilities are all one would want for a beachside holiday and the restaurant first class. Highly recommended.
We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when we visit Espiritu Santo. The staff and neighbours were so welcoming and friendly over the course of our stay. The beach front is one of the best on Santo, where you can snorkle, paddle board, or just casually swim. From the beach and water, you can occasionally see dugong, tropical fish, and sea turtles. The restraunt attached to Barrier Beach had generous portions, was always delicious, and had something for every member of the family. I would recommend the beach front villas, as waking up to a stunning sunrise each morning is well worth it. Each room had a plunge pool, which was a lovely way to cool down during the hottest, humid hours of the day. Each room has air-conditioning, which changed our Vanuatu experience. Without it, we would have been very hot and not able to cool down.
