this was the nicest hotel that we stayed at in Canada so far. The view of the river was exceptional from our back patio. The room appeared to be brand new with a nice size refrigerator stove, microwave coffee set up TV etc.. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable. Everything was clean and brand new. I would definitely come back to this hotel if I was in town again. The check-in process was also as easy as Could be.
The best place to stay! This was a family road trip, we originally booked for one night and extended it to two because we didn’t want to leave. The location is SO quiet and still and beautiful. We didn’t even hear any neighbours during our stay. The scenery looked like a painting.. it was perfect. We stayed in a one bedroom, one pull out couch layout and it was more than enough room. Having a full kitchen with the kids was really great and the hot tubs were super nice and relaxing. Can’t wait to come back again, would love to stay longer if we had the time. Also such a great price for the experience! Can’t say enough good things about it.
Extremely Disappointed – Not the Relaxing Stay I Paid For The property itself has potential — nice layout, modern amenities, and a beautiful setting in Revelstoke. I was excited to stay here and unwind. But unfortunately, the reality of my experience was the exact opposite — it turned into a stressful, exhausting ordeal that I’m still dealing with weeks later. On the day of check-in, I wasn’t even able to access my room until 4:30 PM — well after the advertised check-in time. Then, just half an hour later at 5:00 PM, the entire property experienced a power outage that lasted until after 12:30 AM. That meant no lights, no air conditioning, no kitchen access, no ability to charge phones, no emergency lighting, and absolutely zero support from any on-site staff (because there weren’t any). I was literally left in the dark, sweating in a room with no ventilation and no way to open the windows or doors safely overnight. So much for a relaxing evening — instead, I was stressed, uncomfortable, and left wondering what I paid for. If this was a tent in the woods, I could have at least brought a flashlight and saved myself $200+. It gets worse. I contacted both Booking.com and Basecamp for a refund. After several back-and-forth emails and escalating the issue to my credit card provider, the Guest Services Manager at Basecamp finally agreed in writing to issue a 70% refund, acknowledging the situation and apologizing. I thought that was the end of it. But instead, Booking.com later contacted me saying they couldn’t reach the property and that no further refund would be processed beyond a measly $59.19. So either Booking.com is lying, or Basecamp made a promise they never intended to keep. I honestly don’t know who to trust at this point, and I’m completely fed up with the back-and-forth. I’ve wasted hours chasing this down through emails and support channels. Not only did I not get the restful stay I expected — I had to fight just to be treated fairly, and even then, I still feel like I was tricked and ignored. ⚠️ Travelers beware: yes, the rooms look nice, and the resort markets itself well. But if anything goes wrong during your stay, don’t expect real support, accountability, or follow-through. I sincerely hope others never have to go through this kind of experience here.
