Batumi Palm Hotel

Henry, Inga and staff went above and beyond to be the perfect hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at their hotel and after having trouble with border crossings they stored our motorbike so we could travel to Armenia and back. Also we were able to send a parcel to them and they safely kept it for us. While travelling overseas, people like this make it so much more enjoyable. We highly recommended this hotel.

Unlike some of the "local guides" who have submitted comments below, my wife and I have stayed here 3 times and would thoroughly recommend. The hotel has a brilliant seafront location with gorgeous views of the sunset over the Black Sea and most rooms have a balcony with a sea view. The staff are very friendly but professional and speak English. The owners, Henry and Inga and the manager, Nico, have always looked after us well. There is a well stocked bar which is open 24 hours, a good restaurant and a decent size pool. All facilities are clean and finished to a high standard. Another bonus is that the pool area isn't afflicted by the curse of people reserving sunloungers with towels, which is a real pain in Western European hotels! This part of town is developing rapidly and there are now several good restaurants and other amenities in the vicinity of the hotel. We will be returning and would recommend to others.

This is a small hotel framed by apartment towers (some still under construction) and divided from the beach by a heavily trafficked 4-lane road. That means that rooms with sea-side view have traffic noise day and night: ear plugs are heavily recommended! The „deluxe double“ rooms are rather small with a small balcony (useless due to the traffic noise). TV was not working, but even worse, the WiFi was not working either… at least for one day and a half. Breakfast was good, the pool was clean and good for a swim but very cold; the pool area would be nice without the construction and traffic noise. Parking area was available. All in all, no good value: I think for the same price you can find a better and hopefully quieter location in Batumi.
