Lovely clean, fantastic breakfast and great bed.
A good experience with this hotel overall. Stayed several days for a bussines trip and this hotel turned out to be a good choice. 5 stars is awarded for mainly two reasons. 1: The rooms. Big-size nice bed, good lighting and many lamps, nice bathroom with a tub and also a area with a table/charis to work from. Perfect. Rooms are also soundproof and have nice decoration. 2: The staff. Helpfull and friendly, answered all my questions and offered help and good advice! Wi-Fi was good for my purposes, easy access and always connected. Did not try the breafeast, but the bar/lounge area was nice and quiet. Some small things; I choose this hotell because of work and that I could walk. But it is a bit far from restaurant/bar-areas which could be annoying if you are not familiar with the buss/metro-system. The "gym room" does not look as nice as the pictures, and is quite small. But good that it is open 24/7.
We recently travelled with EasyJet Holidays and overall, the flight and transfer services were excellent. The flight was comfortable, punctual, and well-managed, and the transfer from the airport to the hotel was smooth and efficient. These parts of the trip were as expected, stress-free and very much appreciated. Unfortunately, the hotel experience was a bit disappointing. While the facilities themselves were generally fine, the service left a lot to be desired. On arrival, after a long flight, we were invited to have a coffee while waiting to check in later. We thought this was amazingly thoughtful. And so we went to the breakfast restaurant as instructed but were then told by another staff member we would have to pay for it – a small but disappointing turn of events that immediately took away the good feeling. For just a few cents, the hotel lost the wow factor. Once checked-in later (as we'd arrived too early - our fault) my room had a slight unpleasant smell, which detracted from the first impression, and I also noticed that you only get one sachet of instant coffee per person. In a five-star hotel? You get more in a Travelodge! Also, that night, we noticed a generator outside the hotel that ran 24/7. The noise from the generator was clearly audible even with the windows closed, and it made sleep very difficult. When we raised this with the hotel manager, he appeared surprised, but after hearing it for himself (after we had to persuade him to come outside) he failed to offer an alternative room. There was no real attempt to resolve the issue leading us to wonder why we even bothered to tell him, and so we were left to endure another disturbed night. The breakfast boxes for early departures were also poorly handled. We were told to expect pastries and water which would have been fine, but received hard sandwiches unsuitable for dietary needs and items that could not easily be eaten before a flight. There was no opportunity to choose (which I have suggested), so the quality and thoughtfulness were disappointing. I did write directly to the hotel three days ago outlining these concerns in detail, but as yet, I have received no reply or even acknowledgement, which I suppose speaks volumes about their approach to guest feedback. In summary, whilst the flight and transfer were faultless – and I would book again through EasyJet Holidays without hesitation – the hotel service fell far below expectations and detracted from an otherwise well-arranged trip. Perhaps it was because we booked via EasyJet we got the service we experienced? Who knows.
