Best Western Fowey Valley

This is my first time ever visiting this hotel and it is absolutely amazing. Upon entering I have never seen a room to be so clean especially the bathroom which is amazing since I have OCD. The staff are extremely helpful with a smile on their faces 24/7. I have also come across quite a few reviews of certain past residents being frustrated with the fact that the new owners have decided to remove pork & alcohol and I would just like to say, it’s a shame that their focus wasn’t on the incredible service, cleanliness, and hospitality, but rather the cultural background of the owners.Choosing to serve halal food or not offer alcohol isn’t “forcing ideals” it’s simply a business exercising its right to make decisions, just like guests are free to choose where they stay. No one’s asking anyone to adopt a different culture, only to respectfully share space in a diverse society. That’s not oppression that’s coexistence. In a country as multicultural as the UK, expecting every place to cater only to your preferences isn’t realistic it’s entitled. To the staff, you are amazing and we appreciate all your hard work!

What a suprise and lovely night's stay. Hotel looks nothing at the front, but it's huge inside and we'll maintained. Really lovely staff, super clean and comfortable room. Very good selection from the breakfast buffet. We didn't know what to expect from other reviews, but the lack of proper bacon & sausage wasn't a problem at all. The alternative was perfectly acceptable. Build your own cooked breakfast was ideal for us. There is a very good selection of food choice both hot & cold. The hotel also has plenty of parking, an outdoor swimming pool and comfortable places to relax and unwind. Great value for money and highly recommended.

Booked for the first weekend of the summer holidays as a family of 4 and we weren't disappointed. We thought it was well priced. A great location for travelling to other towns along the coast. The hotel has a heated outdoor pool which the children enjoyed each day. The pool it self was a bit dated and needed a bit if TLC but still a great facility. The town had a few shops, restaurants and a lovely river . We met the locals who were very friendly. The only low point of out trip was the local fish and chip shop, the owner was extremely rude and the food was very disappointing.
