HD a wonderful stay here. Staff is friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean and in good condition. Pool is nice and gym is ok. Restaurant is very good.

Basic Comfort and Luxury in Bugolobi My stay at this franchise of Best Western Plus in Kampala was a mixed experience that ultimately left me satisfied. This modern hotel tucked away in Kampala's urban landscape offers a comfortable refuge from the bustling city and the chaos of Bugolobi neighborhood. The contemporary design elements blend nicely with touches of Ugandan culture, creating an inviting atmosphere. While the hotel certainly has its strengths in terms of cleanliness and comfort, there are aspects that could use refinement. The property seems relatively new, which explains its pristine condition. But it lacks the creature comforts that you usually find in a Best western Plus property - like a good gym or a luxurious pool! If you are in for a quick Business trip then you will find this perect, but if you are looking for a luxurious leisure stay then you are better off elsewhere at a place like the Four Points or Serena. LOCATION:The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area in Kampala, which is both a blessing and a curse. I appreciated the peaceful surroundings away from the city's notorious traffic congestion, but found it somewhat isolated. It's about a 15-20 minute drive to the city center (traffic permitting), which meant planning ahead for outings. The surrounding area feels safe, though there aren't many dining or entertainment options within walking distance. The VILLAGE MALL is an easy walk away. DINE + DRINK:The hotel restaurant was a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed the varied breakfast buffet that featured both continental and local Ugandan options. The chef DAVID was accommodating with special requests, which I appreciated. The bar area is well-stocked and comfortable, making it a nice spot for evening unwinding. They even had the local CRAFT BEERS from the celebrate BANANGE BREWING Co. ROOM: We stayed in Suite Room, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage. It had a nice sitting area great for chilling out that was seperate from the Bed area; VIEW: Sweet view of the greenery and the hills from multiple windows which made the room feel bright and lovely ; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Ok quality toiletries, so do bring your own. FACILITIES: The Gym is bit of a joke! A small claustrophobic room stuffed with some dated cardio machines and a super limited set of dumbbells! The Poos is nothing more than an extended Jacquizzi tank! And for most parts of our stay it was not even filled with water and was non-functional! These shortcomings with the facilities made me almost rate this place a 3 star, but the sweet service and warm hospitality made me bump this up to a 4 star rating! SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to the warm Front office staff and the sweet folks at the restaurant that made every one of our meals so memorable! Big thanks to Chef DAVID for whipping up some wicked local dishes upon request HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good!
