As first time visitors to Jersey our 10 day stay at the Biarritz cared for by Jason and the team was exceptional. The greeting we received when we walked in set the bench mark for courtesy and care. Nothing was too much trouble. As a recently disabled couple this attention to detail made our stay relaxing. The whole hotel is accessible. We had. Ground floor room that met our needs at this time. All members of the team took time to chat and show an active interest. This was led by Jason who spent time with us sharing the history of the hotel and gathering detailed feedback on our stay. He provided a useful tip for our next stay, have luggage couriered to the hotel. The meals are cooked to a great standard with breakfast cooked to order. Experiencing drinks on the terrace was wonderful. Don’t get me started on the terrace. What a view. It enables you to sit relax and enjoy the bay. Finally from our perspective it was a faultless experience.
Arrived for a short brake with six friends. From the start the staff and management were extremely helpful and friendly. Had problems getting a taxi to the airport on our last day but the manager made sure we got a lift. He did two trips so we got to the airport on time. Can not rate this hotel any higher. Friendly helpful staff, the hotel is clean, food and location are amazing. Highly recommend.
Firstly, the view from the terrace is spectacular and it’s a similar treat from the breakfast room. Staff are very polite and helpful. Rooms are a bit dated but pleasant. There are quite a few issues and it’s a shame as this hotel could be amazing (note to owners/management). 1) Breakfast - bearing in mind it’s not a cheap breakfast, I ordered pancakes and they were those doughy, dry toaster ones from the supermarket. Poached eggs were overdone on day one and barely cooked and translucent on day two. 2) The heat - anything above 23 degrees and the rooms facing the sun are baking hot with just a small solitary fan. They need full size fans as a minimum but ideally AC as otherwise it’s not viable in high summer. 3) Maintenance - strong drain smell by the bar and on our first evening we left the bathroom window open due to the heat and awoke to an if infestation of drain flies. The plumbing needs addressing I would expect. I doubt I’d return here unless I hear about proper investment in refurbishment and a better breakfast. It’s such as shame as the location is fantastic and the staff do their best.
