Blue Margouillat Seaview Hotel Relais & Chateaux

We stayed here for the first three nights of our honeymoon. Our travel agent told us the restaurant was the best on the island but we were blown away by the quality of the food. It is easily the best food we have ever eaten and probably will ever eat. The cheese cellar is really special and a must for cheese lovers. The whole hotel was beautiful and we enjoyed the amazing view from our room. The hotel were very helpful with our rental car and dropped us off to go and collect it. When we left, we were given a homemade olive oil and vinegarette which was a lovely touch. We hope to visit this special hotel again.

We are vegan and went there for dinner. When we booked a table we told them we were vegan. As a result we had one of the best vegan dinners ever. Vegan gastronomy! The experience was enhanced by an “Accord sans alcool”, pairing special “mocktail” with each dish. Angelique, the barmaid and excellent mixologist, did an outstanding job creating unique drinks to truly enhance and highlight the flavors of each dish.

Rooms were clean but very small with limited amenities for a 5-star hotel. Staff are friendly but limited with helping and providing information. Breakfast was good but tiny portions. Keep in mind that room coffee is priced after consuming 2 cups (not a usual). Far from everything which is fine but the hotel needs to cooperate with tour and transportation companies to offer options to customers. Overall experience is similar to 3 star hotel instead of 5.
