Boutique City And Bravo Hotel Pattaya

They lost my baggage in the security room! I stayed at Boutique City Hotel in Pattaya for over a month. When I checked out, I asked the staff if I could leave my baggage with them, as I was planning to return. They put it in their security room. Their security room does not even have a door, believe it or not. When I came back, my luggage, everything I owned, was gone. Items worth over 40,000 baht, full of personal and sentimental value, gone. Staff were completely indifferent and nobody on reception even said a simple 'sorry for your trouble'. No apology, no concern, zero desire to help. Not even the courtesy to pretend they cared. Only one person who was actually kind to us in this situation, and he was a bellboy, not reception staff. I had to push multiple times just to be shown the security footage. They brought me to the security room where a screen showed the recordings. They simply said: “There’s no footage for this date, so we can't do anything.” Afterwards, I went to the tourist police. They referred me to the normal police station. That station was packed with people, but I waited and waited and then filed an official report. I want you to think about whether a random guest would be crazy enough to risk going to jail for stealing luggage in front of security cameras, or whether this was done by someone who knew exactly when the camera footage would be deleted. I wish I had taken a video of the staff's reaction. I was too polite and did not want to point a camera at their faces. I just went back to my room, and saw a cockroach on my bed. I hope someone actually reads this. EDIT: We called the police, an officer came to the hotel. He talked to us, then he went to talk to the manager. My girlfriend overheard the manager telling the officer that we have put our baggage in the security room without contacting staff and that we are lying. Police officer and manager were laughing together. My girlfriend and I were in shock. I write reviews everywhere I can. I am about to write the same review for the police station. If they try to take this down, I will appeal until I am alive.

First room had sand all over the floor when we arrived. They allowed us to change rooms, and the second room was full of cockroaches. The next day, we returned to the room after it had been ‘cleaned’ and there was a crushed cockroach left on the bathroom mirror. Avoid, unclean and dirty. Only positive - staff were friendly and parking attendants were very helpful.

Absolutely terrible. The reception staff is so disgustingly horrible. They are so racist, they were making fun of the way me and my friends spoke. They ignored our questions, made us wait for ungodly amount of time all the while giving us dirty looks and making snarky comments in thai. I know this to be true because I recorded a part of the conversation and had a thai friend translate it later. Extremely disappointing behaviour. I honestly never want to go back to Thailand solely because of that horrible experience. I would give zero stars if I could. DISGUSTING.
