Buena Vista Chic Hotel

This is such a beautiful, cozy hotel. The staff is amazing, they welcomed us with a fruit drink. They were extremely helpful during the whole stay and were always available. In the room the coffee machine was dirty si they gave us FREE coffee from the restaurant. The food is spectacular, good prices, absolutely worth it. Specially the chicken for dinner. Breakfast was really good as well. Wifi 100% working the whole time.

A cute little boutique hotel near the airport, near the Starbucks farm and the Poas volcano. Dining a bit expensive for the amount of food so I would not recommend eating dinner there unless you have no choice. Two night stay is enough to see the area. Rooms were nice, pool area a bit noisy as it is in a court yard but the view from the balcony side rooms was spectacular.

We stayed in some great hotels in Costa Rica. But this was not one of them. We were sold a “suite” which we -obviously- expected to have more than one room as that is what “suite” means. But no we were 5 (2 adults, 2 teenagers, 10 year old) of us put in one small room, with a very underpowered fan, it was so hot and stuffy I ended up sleeping on the balcony. The pool was fine but very small for hotel of this size. I enjoyed breakfast. All in all this is a cleverly marketed hotel, is sounds a lot better than it is, and describing a room as a suite is dishonest. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Bougainvillea Hotel is a lot better for the same price.
