Búzios Beach Resort by WAM Experience

The place is enormous & front beach which is a + . The rooms installations are fine, is not renovated but remains fine. Very clean rooms and spacious. The staff super helpful and friendly. Food at the restaurant was delicious & everyday different buffet food which is very surprising! Food is a 10! Entertainment installations are also fine, everyday there is some program to follow in case you spent all day there. What we didn't like it was the frozen water at the pools! For been a resort you would expect that pools have warm water but in this case not! The point is if weather is not the warmest at least you can still enjoy the pool , but this was unbearable... You couldn't be longer than 10 min at the pool also sea was very cold so you could only stare at both instead of enjoy them. They should consider add the heating because is a shame such cool pools with no heating. We stayed at a villa with private pool and not even that one had warm water .... Also pools weren't super clean, there was lots of dry leafs , insects etc. Apart from that everything was fine , u would recommend for summer not for spring or late winter.

The state of disrepair is alarming, we closed the door strongly (because of the wind) and the roof literally fell down. It could have hurt or even killed someone if they were under the door. The internal doors down close properly, the sofas have holes, mood in the bathroom, and the bedding is terrible. In the other hand the staff is polite and friendly and the food is good, but the hotel is so old that we fear for our safety, no comfort. The photos are probably 20 years old.

The resort has great potential but it needs a of improvement. Beautiful landscape and fantastic pools and the staff are friendly and good service at the valley parking. But….the rooms are poorly cleaned, the food served at breakfast and dinner is compared to meal displayed in popular place like university cafeteria. There was no face towels in my room and I had to use one of my beach towel for the purpose. The shower cubicle was very dirty as if it hasn’t been properly cleaned for at least 8 weeks. The dirtiness of the lounge chairs by the pool is beyond comprehension. The pool bar is very simple, disappointing. The water supplied in the bathroom smells very bad and the bathroom stinks after a shower. I was lucky that I only stayed 2 days. If I had booked for longer I would have left the day after.
