This location is great. It’s has access to river walk and the Domingo restaurant. The check in is at 3pm, leave at 11AM. It’s right in the middle of a lot. There is an elevator to take you down to the restaurant on river walk where you can dine inside or out. Staff was nice and polite. The hotel was clean. They do offer valet, $70 a night. Self parking garage is about less than a two minute walk away, so no, it’s not on the property. I paid $80 for 3 days and 2 nights since I didn’t need my car while there. The rooms look like pics online. There was an issue with the drain in the shower but once I alerted the front desk they offered to move me or have me wait til morning. I moved. The police presence was heavy so I felt safe even without them no crazy or drama going on. There isn’t a pool but the bar area is very nice and relaxing. Must be 21 and up to enter
Fantastic location on the riverwalk. Domingo’s is directly beneath it and serves great food with great service. The bar on the third floor serves great drinks. Rooms are always clean. The valet staff is incredibly friendly but for the price I’d recommend using a parking app for a local garage. Dog friendly!
Wow, smack dab in the heart of the city, everything seemed to be within walking distance...30-40 restaurants and tons of shopping right along the Riverwalk, so +1 star for location. The hotel is very nice, clean and nearly "modern chic". The bathroom design is cute and looks awesome, but the design and functionality is terrible, at least in room 504 it was, and I'm assuming the rest of the bathrooms are the same way. Warning: if you have any sort of mobility issues you should ask for an ADA room or look elsewhere, this is a fall waiting to happen. The way the toilet, shower, shower door, and bathroom door are all situated makes it seem the designer and architect were not on the same page, having the glass shower door open to the toilet and not having much room to wiggle around the door to grab your towel, all while avoiding the toilet made it…awkward. Buyer beware. Other than the bathroom, having a restaurant and bar on site is very nice. Parking is nil, so like just about everywhere else downtown there is valet parking. We checked in early and was assisted by Megan up at the front desk and she was more than helpful...letting us dock our luggage while our room was being prepared and acting as a concierge and giving our lots of recommendations on restaurants, shopping, and things to do. Thank you Megan. There are soooo many other hotels in the area I don't know if I would stay here again or look for another place, but if you're looking for clean and modern lodging with excellent location, then the Canopy may be for you. Also, the valet parking attendants were friendly and the beds were comfortable.
