I rarely write a review. But I was compelled to given how good this place is for where it is. Rooms - fantastic, modern, clean with everything you need and nothing you don't. Food in the restaurant - outstanding! Fast, fresh and reasonably priced. Staff - as good as I have seen in PNG.
Cassowary Hotel is the most comfortable hotel we have stayed in at Kiunga. It isn't the cheapest in town, but the clean, modern rooms are the best we have found so far. The restaurant has reasonable fare, but nothing to write home about. The food is, however, passable for most travellers and a safer option than some of the other establishments nearby. Overall it is comfortable but not memorable. A decent business hotel: convenient, and clean.
