Exceptional Care Beyond Hospitality – A Heartfelt Experience at Le Vintuna, Sikkim Our recent stay at Club Mahindra Le Vintuna, Sikkim was far more than just a vacation — it was a deeply reassuring and unforgettable experience that showed us the true meaning of hospitality and care. During our stay, an unexpected medical emergency struck when my brother experienced acute stomach pain around 9:40 PM. Naturally, my mother and I were extremely concerned, especially given the resort’s remote location and the difficulty in finding transport at that hour. To our immense relief, the resort staff at reception rose to the occasion with remarkable promptness and empathy. They immediately arranged a cab for us despite the late hour, ensuring we could get to the hospital as quickly as possible. The driver was extremely cooperative and drove us safely to the medical facility without any delay. What touched us most was that the resort team stayed in constant touch over the phone, offering assistance, reassurance, and reminding us that they were there for anything we might need. After my brother received the necessary treatment, they once again helped us by organizing a cab at 1:00 AM to bring us back to the resort. This wasn’t just customer service — it felt like being cared for by family. Le Vintuna is not just a beautiful resort surrounded by the serene landscapes of Sikkim; it’s a place where human values, compassion, and genuine concern for guests are deeply embedded in the culture. The staff didn’t just do their job — they went above and beyond, and for that, I will always be grateful. Thank you, Club Mahindra Le Vintuna, for showing us that true hospitality is about being there when it matters the most. We left not only with scenic memories, but with heartfelt gratitude and deep respect. This resort will always hold a special place in our hearts. What stood out to us even more was that it wasn’t just the resort staff who were warm and caring — the people of Sikkim in general have a naturally kind and helpful nature. There’s a genuine sense of hospitality and respect that seems to flow through the entire community, making you feel welcome not just as a guest, but as a part of their home. Honourable mention Mr Aman - at the reception Mr Santosh - the driver My heart full thanks to you!
We recently stayed at Club Mahindra Le Vintuna in Gangtok and overall had a wonderful experience. The property is beautifully nestled amidst lush greenery with stunning views of the mountains and river. The surroundings are peaceful and serene — perfect for a relaxing holiday. The staff was courteous and helpful, and the hospitality met Club Mahindra’s usual standards. The food at the resort was delicious, with a good variety for both adults and kids. There were also several in-house activities to keep the family engaged. However, one thing that was disappointing was the absence of bathtubs in the studio apartments. We had specifically chosen a studio room expecting that luxury, but later found out that bathtubs are only available in hotel units, not in studios. This was a bit of a letdown, especially considering the cold climate and the price point. It would be great if Club Mahindra could add this feature to studio rooms as well or at least mention this clearly during booking. Despite that, the stay was memorable and we enjoyed the natural beauty around. A good choice for those seeking calm, scenic views, and warm hospitality in Gangtok.
This is one of those reviews that if I could leave no stars, I would. My husband and I traveled to this Club location, to relax and honestly spend some money. We had ideas on guided hikes, massages, good food and all. This location seemed like a good location to experience a variety of Sikkim. Us being used to traveling, we checked the rules for the club and the areas in Sikkim, as India is a diverse place and we like to be respectful. The first few days we started to see some issues that developed. Front desk and the spa would call us every single day, bright and early, to let us know about events/packages that we could spend money on. After informing them that we knew what wanted to do and that we would let them know when we want to schedule it. We asked them to stop calling our room every morning, they did not, and at some points we would get three phone calls around 9am. Then the next few days we realized we had to pay extra just to go sit by the river near the hotel. Then there was another issue that happened at the pool. Like I stated we are used to traveling to modest and more open sides of India, so before going to the pool I checked if a one piece swim suit was allowed. A one piece was stated as fine and the picture that they used for the swim board rules looked almost identical to the suit I had. After arriving down to the pool and about to go in, a staff member runs full sprint at me telling me that my suit is not allowed because it’s cotton. It was not cotton, cotton suits are not a thing because they are a hygiene risk and hold water like crazy. I told her it was not cotton multiple times, she then aggressively insists I need to go buy a full swimming costume swim. Now to keep in mind with all of this, I am the only white woman at the Club and as someone who is married to an Indian man, I am used to aggressive sales because people think we are wealthy. So this staff member making a scene in front of a separate party of guests at the pool was already overwhelmingly unnecessary. I ended up changing into the costume with the whole thing making such a scene that other guests were filming me once I got back to the pool. I was so upset about the whole thing that when my husband then approached the management later that day, the manger, Sandeep, tried to argue with him, saying that my suit was cotton despite the label of the suit being in his hands. Then telling my husband that the hotel “can not put everything in writing”. Let’s say we wouldn’t be back to this location and honestly this impression made me not want to come back to Sikkim at all.
