We were upgraded to the suite. The assitant manager was very nice and helpful. Great location walking distance to all the main Ciudad Colonial attractions. Comfy bed and great architecture. Beautiful tiles. Breakfast started almost 45 minutes late.
As soon as I entered the lobby I was greeted by a nice hostess whose name is Raymond. He showed me all the facilities and I was very pleased when he opened my room door (Don Juan) and I saw the beautiful bed, the nice bathtub, and the very spacious room with a nice balcony. The next morning, I had the pleasure to meet Santa who made me an excellent breakfast ( eggs fried in water). It was a simply but tasty breakfast. In general, the Colonial 154 is a nice place to stay for business, vacations or just a getaway. Thank you Raymond and Santa I will see you again soon!!!
I so enjoyed staying in this tasteful boutique hotel. The decor and layout is lovely. I feel like I'm living in someone's beautiful home. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was simple but made to order and the coffee was good. My bedroom was tiny but my bathroom was great. My bed was really comfortable. There was construction on the street in front which was not noisy at night but made it harder than it should be to navigate and arrange for a taxi. I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect and I loved my stay. The photos on the website are accurate. If they want to up their game further, I recommend providing access to filtered water throughout a guest visit, offering nicer hand soap, and offering body lotion. Note: if you have mobility issues, staying here would be tough. You have to climb about 3 steep stairs to get inside, a staircase to get upstairs, and the bath was nice but with very tall sides. They may have other rooms with accessible options but be sure to inquire first.
