COMO Shambhala Estate

I stayed at COMO Shambhala Estate for two nights from July 2 to 4, and it was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. It was my first time staying at a wellness resort, and even within such a short stay, I could genuinely feel an improvement in my overall well-being. I believe this was thanks not only to the healthy and delicious meals but also to the breathtaking natural surroundings and the unparalleled hospitality that embraced me throughout my stay. Some facilities were under renovation during my visit, but the experience was so wonderful that it hardly mattered. I was able to fully enjoy every moment. I was given a beautifully appointed room in a serene and peaceful setting, which made the experience even more special. From my personal butler to every staff member I encountered, everyone was warm, friendly, and professional. The massage I received during my stay was the most incredible one I’ve ever had—both deeply relaxing and emotionally moving. I am filled with gratitude for every aspect of my stay and can’t thank the team enough for creating such a healing and heartwarming environment. I will definitely return.

The staff is elegantly trained, respectful and always ready to help. The estate and its jungle is being taken care of in a sustainable way. I have seen it flourish since 12 years. The estate borders the sacred river and the jungle valley is breathtaking. Visiting Como Shambala is an unforgettable experience of a lifetime where space for introspection, poetry and wellness meet Indonesian heritage. The spa and the beautiful shop cater for aromatic self care, Indonesian resort fashion, talk international linen style plus heritage print. Aromatic luxury natural body care products that leave an imprint in your memory of soulful times spent. Outdoor activities, private driver tours and cultural entertainment are provided. The estate has a hearty two hour walk path going up and down the hill for a really good workout in an epic jungle and river landscape. The estate holds a sacred jungle temple where Balinese come to hold their prayers and small ceremonies. The water flowing through it is holy and nurtures the jungle pools.

It’s the ultimate place to unwind and reset. The rooms are stunning, the resort walk through the lush jungle is breathtaking, and the attention to detail is truly next level. The service was exceptional—thank you to Ayis and the entire team for making our stay so special and seamless. And we have to say, it was hands down the best massage in all of Ubud. A must-visit for anyone looking for peace, luxury, and total rejuvenation. We’ll definitely be back!
