I don’t even know where to start. This place is truly magical. I don’t know that I’ve ever experienced the level of attentiveness, much less in a place that manages true luxury with true sustainability. This place will rejuvenate you body and soul. I was planning a trip back within 12 hours of arrival. Enjoy not only wonderful farm fresh food and views of dreams, but meeting the employees of the lodge, all of whom have meaningful stories, tips and genuinely wonderful hearts. The staff makes excursions easy to add but makes relaxing on site equally easy. This place truly is in a class of its own. I can’t wait to return.

Fabulous experience all around. I was very impressed by the service and the cleanliness of the lodge. I enjoyed fly fishing, swimming in a cave, learning how chocolate is made, and the jungle tour from a very knowledgeable guide. The views from our porch were beyond expectation. The food is outstanding - fresh and delicious. Blackened snapper was a favorite. I enjoyed an incredible massage and a facial with chocolate! Highly recommend. I look forward to going back.

We had a great five-day stay at Copal Tree Lodge in late May. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful; the jungle suite was perfect (including the very private screened in porch/deck and the air-conditioned interior). We went on some wildly productive birding tours, and a slightly disappointing snorkeling trip (although that was due to the weather, not the guide). Their homegrown coffee and rum are both delicious. And, we admired how well integrated they are into the local community. Hope to return someday.
