Zero complaints about this hotel at all. Brand new from 2023. Fast elevators, pleasant staff with good enough English knowledge, pleasant smelling common areas, breakfast was great with made to order omelettes, bread, other pastries, and more. Room smelled fresh. Super quiet AC. Great water pressure and gym. Rooftop pool was nice as well. This was the best place I stayed in during my time in the DR.
Loved the hotel and staff ,we arrived February 27th for my bday and was greeted by Yalkis, the front desk manager she was amazing and helped me and my friends as much as she could , she was very helpful and pleasant all the time. Someone you guys should look for when attending the hotel is Marlene at the hotel Bar, wonderful person good spirited , we sat at the bar with her and chatted for a few hours ,Also Kevin the head of security was checking up if we needed anything if he could help with any service , Esmeralda was very nice as well . And now my other favorite person Lucy, she was so nice we had her up and down with room service and very cold Beers , my favorite part of the hotel is that they took the time to actually get me a small pastry cake and sing happy bday to me at the lobby , last but not least Lenny , very pleasant guy helpful . Definitely going back .
I stayed at this hotel for a week with family and friends, and we booked three rooms. Prior to our arrival, I specifically requested that the rooms be located next to each other. I was assured this could be accommodated. However, when we arrived, I was told that because one of our family members had checked in early, they could no longer honor that request. We ended up with rooms on three different floors, which was incredibly frustrating and inconvenient for a group traveling together. Dining at the hotel was also an uncomfortable experience. One evening after a long day exploring the Zona Colonial, we picked up some food on the way back and decided to eat together in the lobby, since our rooms were spread out across different floors. There were plenty of tables available, and we weren’t disturbing anyone. However, a front desk employee overheard us and didn’t say anything to us. When we started eating the front desk employee abruptly told us we couldn’t eat outside food in the lobby. The way she handled the situation was rude and unprofessional. It made me want to check out immediately. Thankfully, the situation was handled much better by the supervisor and general manager. The general manager explained the hotel’s policy respectfully and took the time to listen and understand our frustration. She even offered us complimentary items as a gesture of goodwill, which I declined—I simply wanted to be treated with respect. The food at the hotel is decent, but the breakfast buffet is very repetitive. By the fourth day, I stopped eating at the hotel altogether. I enjoyed free breakfast because of my Bonvoy status. It’s also a bit pricey for what’s offered and lacks variety my family members told me. Overall, I might still recommend this hotel, but I would probably look into other options in the area next time. I chose this property because I’m a loyal Bonvoy member who travels frequently for work—spending nearly a third of the year in hotels. That said, this location has policies that aren’t consistently applied across the Marriott brand, and the level of hospitality did not meet my expectations. If you enjoy a late night swim this is not the hotel for you.
